[Working Title]: Theatre Capstone

Theatre
Katzen Arts Center
Thursday, Dec 9, 2021 at 8:00 PM (ET)

The Senior Capstone for the Theatre/Musical Theatre Program brings together 4 years of training and studying the craft of theatre in the broader context of a liberal arts education. Students will devise a new theatre piece by researching historical and current events and use these ideas to create dynamic characters, strong visual designs, and dramatic moments on stage. This year's Senior Capstone is focused on work and labor in America today. A stopped subway train allows the passengers to explore their stories that are personal, comedic, and poignant. These vignettes mix music, humor, and movement to delve into accounts of love, internships, family history, and the difficulties of getting a job. This production is written, directed, choreographed, and performed by the Theatre/Musical Theatre Program Senior Class of 2022.

Performance Unmasked: Safety Notes

Patrons, please note:

For everyone's safety, we are taking the following precautions, including a strict testing protocol for students, crew, directors, and all others involved:
• A minimum distance of six (6) feet will be maintained between performers and the nearest audience members
• All audience members will be required to remain masked throughout the performance
• Unmasked performers will be tested two (2) times during the week leading up to the performance.
• The second of these tests will be submitted between 48 to 24 hrs before the opening performance.
• All staff not involved in direct performance will wear a mask or face covering while at work
