Daring, provocative and exuberantly entertaining, Cabaret explores the dark and heady life of Bohemian Berlin as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Descend into the Kit Kat Club for a raucous experience that captures the societal complexities of its time.

Tickets: Free for AU students with ID, $10 for alumni, staff, faculty, and senior citizens (55 and older), $15 general admission.

COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols:

Masks are optional but strongly recommended. N-95, KN-94, or KN-95 masks are especially encouraged.Proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test. All guests attending AU events must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start of the performance, and a photo ID. Learn more.

American University Students/Faculty/Staff:

Log in at the link at the top of the page with your AU email address and password to access your free or discounted tickets. Tickets may also be reserved or purchased in person at the Katzen ticket office using your student ID. (Hours: Monday–Friday, 11:00 to 4:00 and one hour before performances). Free student tickets may only be reserved one at a time and are non-transferable. Please bring your student ID to the performance. Free tickets must be claimed at will call earlier than 10 minutes before the performance starts or they will be released to the public. For questions, email auarts@american.edu.

Vaccination Policy

To ensure our patrons’ health and security, as well as the safety of our performers and staff:
American University requires all guests, regardless of age, attending events inside the venue to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or a negative test taken within 72 hours of the start of the performance.
“Full vaccination” means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized double-dose vaccines or the sole dose of FDA or WHO authorized single-dose vaccines. Boosters are strongly recommended.

Mask Update: As of May 23, 2022, masks will be optional in most campus locations. Community members may choose to wear a high-quality mask (KN95 or N95) in any setting or location, based on personal preferences or situations.
