The AU Symphonic Band presents an eclectic variety of selections spanning the Band literature, ranging from century-old classics to relatively unknown contemporary works by living composers. A large ensemble of about fifty musicians, the Symphonic Band regularly prepares and performs some of the most demanding works available in the Band repertoire.
Tickets: Free for AU students with ID, $10 for alumni, staff, faculty, and senior citizens (55 and older), $15 general admission.
COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols:
Masks are optional but strongly recommended. N-95, KN-94, or KN-95 masks are especially encouraged.Proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test. All guests attending AU events must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the start of the performance, and a photo ID. Learn more.
American University Students: Due to technical issues with Audience View, American University students must reserve their free tickets in person at the Katzen ticket office (Monday–Friday, 11AM-4PM) or one hour prior to performances at the Katzen Arts Center or Greenberg Theatre. Bring your student ID. Free student tickets may only be reserved one at a time and are non-transferable. Free tickets must be claimed with your student ID at will call earlier than 10 minutes before the performance starts or they will be released to the public. For questions, contact us.
